Definitely syringe fill. I think you lose a little ink but if you buy a suitably tiny syringe, you only need a millilitre for most cartridges, you can minimise that.

Oooh, those a beautiful! I use ZIG Memory System fine & chisel markers, or calligraphy markers to get much the same look! But I must say, they don’t quite have the same pizazz as these do!

I do not have any converters, so I filled empty ink cartridges with a syringe. It worked well!

You could save some of your cartridges and syringe fill them. I am planning to do just that with a couple of old Sheaffer carts to use with my old calligraphy set.

I absolutely love the middle alphabet there.

J. Herbin are getting tons of good, erm, ink these days. Reviews are appearing on dozens of fountain pen, ink, drawing, and notebook blogs. No one has anything negative to say about these products. Love to try them, such a wide variety of colors.
Unfortunately, all of my fountain pens use Sheaffer cartridges and it’s economically unfeasible to put convertors in them all.
