Hi I recently purchased an Orange Grandluxe Monologue ruled journal (9cmx14cm rounded corners and pocket at the end) from Singapore airport and found it perfect to log my adventures during 3 weeks in a Borneo rainforest. It became one of my top 10 things to take on other adventures. Others in Borneo took an interest so on my return journey I purchased more. I sent a new orange one to a colleague in Borneo and kept a yellowy coloured one for myself which I recently began using and I’m very disappointed. After one day in my bag chunks are gouged out of the book and it is scuffed along all the edges showing a bright yellow colour like paint undercoat. With the tap of a finger nail imprints are left; it is like putty! It would not last ten minutes in a humid forests so I beleive there is a quality issue. I’d like to contact the manufacturer if anyone can help with a web or postal address.

I have the monologue notebook in A5 size, and it’s pretty good for the price. Unfortunately the outer leatherette layer tends to flake a little after a while even though it’s not thrown around roughly. Not sure if it’s the humidity here (Singapore) though.

i owned a monologue soft sketch book too. yeah the paper is a lil bit coarse, but its fine with my gel pen. however, it bleeds if im using fountain pen(fine point) to sketch

chloe: i think what you may be talking about is the ‘monologue soft sketch book’ because you’ve described that the paper is coarse i own a one in A6 size and am having the most fun with it :p

maybe you may mistaken it for a ‘dialogue’ because it has a horizontal elastic.
