The folks at Paperblanks were kind enough to send me some samples after seeing my review of their “Old Leather” notebook. I am so glad they did, as I really love the notebooks they sent. Though there are things about them that are not 100% what I tend to look for in notebooks for my […]
Here’s a new line of notebooks that seems to be getting a lot of press: You can buy them here. Via Plumb Goods Notebooks – Cool Hunting.
It’s always fun to review new products that are just hitting the market. Papernotes is one such brand, started in November 2013 and based in the Philippines. They sent me two of their Classic Series notebooks to review: The brand has launched offering these medium size notebooks, in 6 colors, all with lined pages. The […]

I went to London recently on a business trip and was excited about having an opportunity to spot some notebooks that might not be available in the US… but unfortunately, the trip was a bit of a bust in that respect. I had jotted down the names of some stationery and art supply shops (thank […]
Here’s another subscription service offering periodic shipments of notebooks. Unlike Rad & Hungry and the now-defunct Lost Crates (which I reviewed), there is no element of surprise to this one. They offer Moleskine and Field Notes, you tell them which style of notebook you want and how often you’d like to receive a new one, […]
Here’s a new brand of notebooks from Buenos Aires, Argentina: Libretas Brügge. The owner of the company was kind enough to send me 3 samples to review. Brügge’s notebooks offer pretty much all the standard features: a hard cover, removable paper band with branding, elastic closure, ribbon marker, and back pocket. They come in pocket […]
Moleskine has introduced some new colors for softcover notebooks. The examples in the photo below look like they are warped and curling, perhaps from a too-tight elastic on the beige one… not a good sign. See more at Don’t be a [ ] – Be flexible with a soft cover notebook! – Moleskine ®.
These look rather nice– linen covers, which I love, and in attractive colors. Best of all, this pocket size notebook is American-made in Michigan, and still only $12! At the moment, they seem to only offer lined notebooks, except for a sketchbook in a larger size. More details at 3.75″ x 5.5″ HARD LINEN COVER […]
I’d been hearing some reports that the Piccadilly Essentials notebooks might be showing up in Barnes & Noble stores. When searching on their website, I did find them listed: Essential Notebook Black Medium Ruled But I also found this: Essentials Black Small Blank Notebook by Peter Pauper Press. At 105 x 148 mm, it […]
A nice-looking clothbound notebook, with a bit of a twist– the elastic wraps around sideways at the top: See more at Carnets classiques Gris Souris, carnet de note, croquis, sketchnote – Le Papier fait de la Résistance.
