Moleskinov.net: Russian Notebooks

One of these days, perhaps after I win the lottery, I’m going to go on a notebook tour of the world. I’ll definitely hit Japan and Germany and the Philippines, and perhaps China if I can somehow infiltrate all the factories there that are churning out notebooks… but Russia will also be a destination high [...]

Review: Tops Designer Notebook

Here’s a notebook that I’ve never seen in any stores, but spotted on a couple of websites, including Amazon and WB Mason. The online images made the Tops Designer Notebook look like a typical Moleskine-type notebook but in nice colors like blue and red, and the price was quite low. But how does it really [...]

The Little Blue Book

Nrepose of Unposted tipped me off to this rather nice-looking variation on the classic moleskine-ish notebook: the Little Blue Book, from a website called The Forgetful Gentleman. (They also sell a few styles of cards, which will please all who advocate the preservation of handwritten correspondence.)

This may be another case of over-the-top marketing for a [...]

Review: Monologue and Dialogue Notebooks by Grandluxe

Here’s a couple of nice notebooks made in Singapore: the Monologue and Dialogue notebooks by Grandluxe. I first heard of the brand when I stumbled across this post, and was quite intrigued. Though they aren’t sold in the United States, the company was kind enough to send me some free samples for review.
The Monologue notebook [...]

Review: Leonardo Pocket Journal

I usually find the stationery chain Papyrus to be pretty slim pickings as far as notebooks are concerned, but one day I happened to spot this little gem sitting all alone on a bottom shelf: the Leonardo Pocket Journal.

It’s kind of funny that it has a musical theme– I mean, why didn’t they call it [...]

Coolest Notebook Commercial Ever!

I love this video!

SCRIBE MUNDO DE PAPEL from ladies on Vimeo.
Apparently this Mexican notebook brand also offers a Moleskinealike– see this link.

Review: The Goldline Journal

Here’s a lovely notebook that I haven’t seen sold in very many places: the Goldline Journal.

It’s made by Tollit and Harvey of the UK, the same people who make the Guildhall notebook. I was never tempted to buy the Guildhall because the paper was lined, but the Goldline has plain paper, and a lovely faux-suede [...]

Piccadilly Softcover Notebooks Coming Soon!

Ooh, ooh, ooh! Check out this page at Piccadilly’s website.

Apparently they’re introducing softcover notebooks! So far just a lined version, in small, medium and large sizes.
I contacted someone at Piccadilly to get the full scoop: the lined softcover notebooks will be available around the end of September in the bargain section at Borders stores and [...]

Future; Nostalgic Reviews the Asda Executive Notebook

I was very interested in this notebook review at Future; Nostalgic: Review: Asda Executive Notebook.

I love the way this notebook has 3 sections in the back pocket! And the prices seem great too. Drawbacks: there is no pocket size version, and it’s only sold at Asda in the U.K.
