Notebooks for Emotional Comfort

I guess it’s better than eating a pint of Haagen Dazs!

See, when most girls are upset they buy themselves ice cream, candy, clothing, shoes…anything of that sort, but when I’m upset, the best way to cheer myself up is to hang out in the nearest notebook aisle in a local store and just splurge on notebooks and journals of all sizes and colors. Then, when I think I really deserve to be treated like a princess, I throw a pack of shiny new pens in the cart as well.

  1. I agree. When I’m upset the first thing I turn to is a nice blank sheet of paper in my Moleskine. If I happen to be in the retail therapy mood I go to a bookstore or an office supply store and oggle the notebooks and pens. Sometimes nothing makes me feel better than a fresh pack of pens or a new journal.

  2. How I love your posts! Seriously, I understand you! The few years I could resist this, was the years I bought food instead of notebooks, pens and pencils. I’ve gain 10kg…sooo yeah I prefer notebooks a lot better and the feeling I get from buying them is the best conforting thing for me. I guess we all need something to help us with life’s bumps. So why not notebooks?

I’ve a dream of creating my own line :D
