Review & Giveaway: Custom Notebooks from Brandbook.de

The nice folks at Brandbook.de offered to send me some samples, and how could I resist? They do a wide variety of customized notebooks for various clients, but you can’t buy them in stores. Here’s a few of the recent projects they’re most proud of:

BrandbookDE17

The first one was made for the Art Directors Club of Germany. The cover is bonded leather with a suede-like texture. There is a logo printed in UV varnish. I love all the pink accents, which include the elastic, the inner pocket, the stained page edges, a logo on the pages and a couple of interior pink divider sheets in a lightweight tissue paper.

The next notebook was made as a giveaway for clients of BelleCapital. The company logo is embossed on the front and there are some interior pages with information about the company. I like the landscape format, which is unusual, but it might make the back pocket a little awkward since it’s so deep. This notebook also has nice tight edges with very little cover overhang, which I always think is nice.

The red notebook below has a linen cover with a foil stamped logo. It was made for Monocle Magazine.

This small stitched notebook was also made for the Art Directors Club Germany. The cover has a nice soft feel to it, with a screen-printed logo.  Again, a cool pink detail– the contrasting stitched binding. I tried my usual pen tests in this notebook and found that it performed pretty well– the paper feels great to write on, though it does have some show-through. The format is very similar to a Moleskine Cahier or Fieldnotes or Writersblok, but it feels a lot more substantial.

If you’re in the market for a promotional notebook, I’d say Brandbook.de is a great option based on these lovely examples. All these notebooks feel like they’re well-made from quality materials, with lots of options for customization. Thanks again to Sandra for sending them!

And as always, I love to share the wealth when I get freebies! I’ll be giving away the 3 large notebooks to randomly selected readers who enter in any of these 3 ways:

On Twitter, tweet something containing the words “Brandbook.de” and “@NotebookStories.”

On Facebook, “like” the  Notebook Stories page and post something containing the word “Brandbook.de” on my wall.

On your blog, post something containing the words “Brandbook.de” and “NotebookStories” and link back to this post.

The deadline for entry is Friday February 11 at 11:59PM, EST.

Winners will be posted on Facebook and Twitter. Good luck everyone!

  1. Pink tissue in a journal, to die for!! Very nicely done all of them. Thanks for such a super giveaway and, as always, all the excellent reviews. They fuel my addiction – which doesn’t really need much help!
