This week’s addict was nominated by her friend Julie, who sent me this link to a post with a plethora of notebooks and journals! Here’s just a few of the 38 notebooks I counted in Trece’s post! See more at List-It Tuesday: Journal Possibilities
This week’s Addict loves composition books. She has a row of old ones used as journals, plus lots of colorful new ones bought cheap during back to school sales! Read more at Back-to-school: Colorful Composition Notebooks — Caroline Rutledge Armijo.

This week’s addict sent me a link to his blog post “Serious Notebook Addict,” where he displays these and other photos: Yep, Nathan’s got a problem! Here’s what’s in his current collection: 3 Large Moleskine Cahiers (although these are being sold in a couple of days) 7 Composition Notebooks 3 Medium Moleskine Black Cahiers 1 [...]

Don’t you love the cover of this book? How could that not make a notebook fan want to read it! It certainly sucked me in, and the publisher was kind enough to send me a review copy. (Which actually has a slightly different cover, with a much cooler old-school fountain pen instead of the purple [...]

I picked up this Mead notebook after a tip from a reader, who had noticed that they were available only at Wal-Mart. Though Mead is obviously a major brand that is available everywhere, it would appear that Wal-Mart asked them to come up with an inexpensive Moleskine-ish notebook that they could offer as an exclusive. [...]
An interesting post appreciating Moleskines: The Moleskine. Mol-a-skeen’-a. Yet another cult classic, and why shouldn’t it be? This little black notebook’s got its fans cutting hearts out and launching virgins off the summit of Krakatoa, all for its furtive anonymity, acid-free paper, and unembellished distinction. Okay, hyperbolic, yes–but still, you don’t see enthusiastic blogs, reviews [...]
Here’s an interesting take on notebooks that I have to quote at length: I don’t like fancy journals. Hardbound is great for books, but when it comes to things I write in, spiral bound please. No fancy covers – though hard covers can be nice when you write on the road a lot. No fifty-dollar, [...]

This week’s addict had to be upgraded to Addict of the Month. Paul has been a faithful reader and correspondent for quite a while now, sharing not only photos of his own notebooks, but links to historical notebooks and other interesting trivia. Did you know, for instance, that the last entry in Samuel Pepys’ diary [...]

Saxon Henry shares some thoughts about notebooks and writing, including these nice images: My first writer’s notebook was a steno pad, and as you’ll see if you read today’s post on The Road to Promise, I “graduated” to a loose-leaf binder in 1986. It was made by Boorum & Pease, and I filled seven of [...]
