Notebook Addict of the Week: xanelachic

What a lovely display of notebooks and pencils, from the Instagram account of xanelachic. I recognize a couple of brands from Portugal, similar to ones in my own collection: Serrote Letterpress (the white one that says “caderno”) and Emilio Braga (the hardcover with contrasting spine and corners at bottom left). Notebooks by Mazzottibooks

Mazzotibooks is a bookbinding and letterpress studio in London. They make some unusual notebooks with wooden covers and sewn tape bindings. I thought this one was particularly beautiful: At £55.00, it’s also particularly expensive! But if you want something handmade and special, it might fit the bill.   See more at Notebooks – mazzottibooks.

He used his vintage letterpress to print a series … Continue reading Moleskine Monday: Celebrating The Gettysburg Address

I had a fun find over the weekend. I was in a small art supply store that happened to have a nice selection of notebooks, including some gorgeous sketchbooks from Bison Bookbinding, which I’d never heard of. I think this store must have decided to focus on these more unique items instead of more generic … Continue reading Moleskine Monday: They’re Out There…

Huldra Press

I came across an interesting story a while back about Huldra Press, owned by Marianne Dages. She makes letterpress cards and prints, as well as bound journals using recycled papers. “I started making books like this because I was always kind of afraid of starting a perfectly white, blank book,” she said. “So, my idea … Continue reading Huldra Press

This week’s addict is Sami, who blogs at Poor & Pretty. Here’s some of her journals: She says: When I was little, my Dad encouraged me to keep a diary so that I can record my thoughts during tough times. Though I have always been a vocal girl {my aunt loves to tell stories about … Continue reading Notebook Addict of the Week: Sami

Bright Ideas Notebooks by Albertine Press

Here’s some really cute notebooks featured at Design Inspiration– I love the colors & images.
